Full-Time Faculty Benefits Information

Ø  Medical/RX insurance offered through ODS Health Plans and PROVIDENCE Health Plans.  Dental Plans are offered through ODS and Willamette Dental. Vision coverage is offered through ODS.  Domestic partner coverage is also available. The college contributes a negotiated premium amount; the coverage options dictate the employee's premium contribution.  The primary top package (medical/RX, dental, & vision) costs the employee $126.36 per month. As a full-time employee you can add dependents to all plans at no additional charge. 

Ø  Flexible Spending Account offered through MANLEY Services allows for savings with pre-tax dollars which are earmarked for additional medical expenses, dependent care expenses and the employee's portion of the health insurance premium.

Ø  College paid Term life insurance through Standard Insurance is provided at no cost with a benefit of $50,000.

Ø  College paid long-term disability insurance through Standard Insurance is provided at no cost.

Ø  After six months of employment, an Individual Account Program (IAP) is established with the Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan, administered by the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) http://oregon.gov/PERS/. The College pays the employee’s contribution of six percent of the employee's annual salary. 

Ø  Academic-year holidays include Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving (2), Martin Luther King Day, and Memorial Day.

Ø  Twelve days of paid sick leave are accrued at the start of each academic year. Sick leave accrues without limit.

Ø  College provided confidential employee assistance program www.cascadecenter.com for employees and family members which allows five visits to a counselor per plan year along with many other support tools and resources.

Ø  Sabbatical and Professional Improvement Leaves may be granted to a faculty member when such leave contributes to the goals of the College and enhances the professional competence of the individual. Details are contained in the faculty bargaining agreement. Financial assistance is available.

Ø  457 Deferred Compensation Plan, Oregon Savings Growth Plan, is a pre-tax savings/investing program similar to TSA's (403b's), IRA's and 401k's.  It allows employees to save additional funds for retirement through payroll deduction, and to choose investment options that range from conservative to aggressive based on individual needs.

Part-Time Faculty Benefits Information

•   Currently there are NO benefits for Part-Time Faculty members.  It is possible for Part-Time faculty to work enough hours to qualify for PERS contributions.
