Faculty Alternate Contract

RE:  Terms and Conditions of Your Alternative Contract for 200X – 0X

Your request for an alternative contract (four terms) for the academic year 200X –0X has been approved.  In accordance with established college policies as well as Articles 3 and 8.6 of the COCC/Faculty Forum Labor Agreement, the following terms apply:

  1. The contract will begin with the summer term of 200X and run through spring term, 200X.  The standard 179-day contract will be achieved through a workload consisting of 45 Load Units over the four terms. 
  1. Contractual pay increases in accordance will Article 7.1 of the labor agreement will be effective in September of 200X. 
  1. In the first year of a four term contract, if you are on a twelve (12) month pay cycle, your paychecks in July and August will reflect the final 2 payments from your previous contract as well compensation for the time worked in those months under the new contract.
  1. The Director of the Summer Session will act as your administrative supervisor during the summer term.
  1. All of the responsibilities of the teaching faculty as described college policy HR-9-2 are applicable to all four terms of this contract.  This includes summer advising and other services to the college.
  1. The College, based on staffing and operating requirements, retains the right to discontinue this agreement in the following academic year.  Notice of such will be provided by January 31 of 200X.
